1. Wade got his first taste of a good winter storm! For almost the entire month we didn't have any snow on our front yard. One day it finally snowed and it was a very heavy wet snow that has still covered our grass! We decided after being cooped up in the house all day we'd take Wade out in his new winter clothes and let him play.
His first step in the snow were a failure (doesn't help that his boots are a little big for him). He had a hard time getting up and wanting to go on. 
After his fall he found out that snow actually tastes pretty good and wanted to just stand and eat snow all night. 
We have a dog kennel in the back yard and Wade loved going in and out of it. 
Finally giving up after a long walk in those boots!
Thank Heaven for Dads who are willing to help out poor tired little boys!
2. We tiled our front entry way because we got new carpet!!!

We knew there was wood floor underneath and wondered what kind of shape it was it. It was actually in really good shape and we thought about leaving it. However, our house is old, our floors would have been cold, and we have a certain little boy who sometimes runs to fast and bangs his head all to often so we decided to go with the carpet! Sure glad we did!
The finished product! It looks so good and it so comfy. We all love it especially Wade. He uses the new entry as a stage and performs daily on it and loves to lay/roll all over the carpet now. 
3. We've been having some very lazy days this month!
4. It FINALLY happened...Wade fell asleep while eating! Everyone has pictures of their kids falling asleep in funny places and I never thought I'd get one with Wade. Earlier that day he went out with his dad to help dig water holes then they were going to feed the cows but someone forgot to grab/send the diaper bag so they had to come home early because the make shift diaper wasn't cutting it :( When he came home I took him swimming with some friends. Right in the middle of his lunch he fell asleep not only with a half eaten lunch but a long noodle coming out of his mouth! Probably the only time I'll ever catch him sleeping in his high chair!
5. Wade keeps finding new seats to sit in and usually they're in a pan of mine. He sits in pots, frying pans, baking sheets, anything but the couch usually. 
6. Wade found out how stickers work! He stuck them all over his legs and for some reason loved to stick them under his chin!
Needless to say there's no more stickers in his sticker book. 
oh my goodness, wade is getting so big I cant believe it. we have GOT to get together the kids would have so much fun now that they are at a better age. The carpet and tile looks great too. Hope all is well, we sure miss ya!
ReplyDeleteAh! He's such a cute little guy. Wish he could come play! My kids are dying to back up there and play with cousins and in the snow. I don't know why- it has been so warm here! :) yay for new carpet! Can't wait to see it. That whole place is going to be looking brand new and you'll never want to leave!
